ONE-OFF WORKSHOPS
Friday 17 July: An exploration of posture. 6-7.30pm. £10 SPACE LIMITED, PLEASE BOOK Is there such a thing as 'correct posture'? Do we really need to 'stand straight'? This workshop explores these and other questions and perceptions of 'perfect posture'. We look at how our bodies become what we repeat - how patterns such as tense shoulders or shallow breath can easily become 'normal', and what is normal is not necessarily natural. Many of us are living at a level of tension we no longer notice, not because we want to live that way, but because adaptation made it familiar. And once something feels familiar for long enough, we stop questioning whether it is actually serving us. We delve into various easy techniques which you can incorporate into your every day life to give your body and breath more freedom - from walking, standing, sitting and even lying down. When we improve our every day posture, we move more freely, breathe more deeply. You get a hand-out to take home with topics covered, but feel free to bring a pen and paper to jot down any notes you may find useful. |

SLOW ASHTANGA FLOW
Saturdays 10-11.30am £5 .......................................... Live Online is via Wats App. No commitment - join as and when you can. How to join: Become a part of the group by scanning the QR code, or send me a message. The day before I'll send a poll on the group to ask if you're joining, and request payment via BACS. On the day, I call the group 10mins before the class starts. Please have your speaker on mute to avoid interference. As I will be teaching a live class, I walk around the room so there may be some instances when you can't see me. I will not be able to 'keep an eye on you', so these classes are not suitable for beginners. I trust that you have some experience in practicing yoga. |
