Arribaja Clinic in The Gambia, opened in 2013 to serve the community of Wullinkamma and the surrounding area.
They provide totally free treatment for all 1,200 children at their schools plus their teachers. They also offer free medical help for ALL under 5s suffering from malaria, diarrhoea, pneumonia or burns. In addition, they support babies whose mothers have died during or after childbirth, with formula milk. The babies and the families that adopted them are supported until they are 2. Twins and triplets are supported longer. All helpers are volunteers. The baby clinic is run by Del Dallimore who lives in The Gambia. More info on the clinic on their Facebook page |

We visited The Gambia in February 2026. The airline TUI gave us 20kg free luggage allowance to take much needed clothing.... our wonderful yoga community collected ... wait for it.... 12kg bras, sanitary products and baby clothing.
We also raised a total of £520 (£460 we took in cash, £60 we deposited on our return) which went towards purchasing much needed milk formula to support the orphaned babies. We will continue to support the Clinic with fundraising, and when we visit the Gambia, we will take necessary goodies. If you'd like to make a donation to purchase milk formula, please let me know and I will give you details. |
